Project 538-2013 - Development of Cost Estimates for Upgrades to Wastewater Infrastructure in Canada's Far North
Project Description: The Contractor will identify and describe factors affecting the cost of construction, upgrades and operation of wastewater infrastructure in Canada’s Far North. Considering those factors, the Contractor will develop cost estimates for upgrades to wastewater infrastructure for three types of wastewater systems in seven selected communities and the addition of one cell to an existing lagoon in four selected communities. The Contractor will also provide a short description of current funding sources suitable for wastewater infrastructure in northern communities.

Project 537-2013 - Guidance Manual for Optimizing Water Quality Monitoring Programs Design in Canada
Project Description: The Contractor will review methods used in Canada and internationally to develop effective methods for optimizing surface water quality monitoring program design.

Project 533-2013 - Gap Analysis on Air Emissions Data
Project Description: The Contractor will collect and summarize information on the air emissions data currently captured or compiled through existing air emissions reporting and inventory programs, identify areas of overlap and disconnect, assess the existing systems' ability to meet existing and future data needs, and identify data gaps.
Project Status: Contract awarded to Cheminfo Services Inc., July, 2012.
 
Project 532-2013 - Guidance Manual and Spreadsheet for Developing Site-Specific Remediation Objectives for Contaminated Sites in Canada
Project Description: The Contractor will update the Guidance Manual for Developing Site-Specific Soil Quality Remediation Objectives (CCME 1996) and develop a spreadsheet to calculate optional Tier 2 remediation objectives.
Project Status: Contract awarded to SNC-Lavalin Environment, October 2012.
 
Project 531-2013 - Implementation Framework for Climate Change Adaptation Planning at a Watershed Scale
Project Description: CCME seeks to develop a framework for implementing adaptive strategies or plans at a watershed scale for water management in the context of climate change.
Project Status: Contract awarded to MIRARCO, September, 2012. Project 530-2013 - Guidance Manual for Developing Nutrients Guidelines for Rivers and Streams
Project Description: The Contractor will review methods used in Canada and internationally to develop regional and/or site-specific, science-based nutrient guidelines for rivers and streams.
Project Status: Contract awarded to Hutchinson Environmental Scients Ltd., September, 2012.
 
Project 528-2013 - Analysis of Groundwater Pilot Projects
Project Description: CCME is pilot testing an approach for assessing the sustainability of groundwater resources at a local, regional or Canada-wide scale. CCME seeks a Contractor to liaise between five pilot project teams and prepare a report compiling, summarizing and analyzing the findings of all pilot projects.
