Project Description: The Contractor will aid in preparing for a workshop on municipal wastewater effluent in Canada’s Far North. The Contractor will facilitate and report on all sessions of the workshop and prepare a report summarizing workshop discussions and key outcomes.

Project Description: The Contractor will aid in preparing for a combined Canadian Environmental Sustainability Indicators (CESI) and CCME water quality monitoring workshop. The Contractor will facilitate and report on all sessions of the workshop and prepare a workshop report.

Project 522-2012 - Code of Practice for Residential Wood-burning Appliances
Project Description: The Contractor will review current governmental regulatory and non-regulatory activities dealing with residential wood-burning appliances, develop a code of practice to reduce emissions and associated health risks, and develop recommendations for the implementation of the code of practice within Canadian jurisdictions.

Project 520-2012 - Synthesis of Research and Application of the CCME Water Quality Index
Project Description: Contractor will summarize the work related to the influence of input selection on the behavior of the CCME Water Quality (WQI) Index and develop clear guidance for WQI practitioners.

Project 519-2012 - Update of custom software used in the derivation of Canadian Environmental Quality Guidelines
Project Description: The Contractor will make improvements to the custom software, SSD Master v2.0, which will improve the user interface, compatibility, and graphing capabilities in order to make the process of data analysis and presentation more efficient.

Project 518-2012 - Professional writing and editing of a Canada-wide Approach for the Management of Wastewater Biosolids
Project Description: The Contractor will write and edit a 5-10 page Canada-wide approach for the management of wastewater biosolids based on an existing draft, consultation comments and Biosolids Task Group advice. The document must be well organized, written in plain language, and easily understood by informed but non-specialist waste managers.

Project 516-2012 - Development of a Disposition Table of Phase Two Consultation Comments on a Canada-wide Approach for the Management of Wastewater Biosolids
Project Description: CCME requires a Contractor to develop a disposition table of phase two consultation comments on the draft Canada-wide approach for the management of wastewater biosolids. The disposition table will include all phase two consultation comments, except those pertaining to the draft guidance document for the beneficial use of municipal biosolids, municipal sludge and treated septage, and propose responses to the comments.
Project Status: Contract awarded to Sylvis Environmental, August, 2011 Project 515-2012 - Identify ecological toxicity data for highly persistent and/or mobile pesticides potentially found at industrial and commercial sites in Canada
Project Description: Contractor will prepare an internal report that prioritizes highly persistent and/or mobile pesticides that are expected to be at contaminated sites. The report will include the results of a scientific literature search, an evaluation of the data sources for sufficiency of toxicological data to derive the soil quality guidelines for the ecological direct contact pathway, and a gap analysis where data is found to be missing.

Project Description: The Contractor will survey Canadian jurisdictions and conduct a national and international review of literature and case studies to develop a compendium of methods and information required to assess the vulnerability of water quality and quantity to climate change impacts at a watershed scale.
