Electronics Waste

The management of used electrical and electronics equipment (e-waste) is rapidly becoming a major public policy issue in Canada and elsewhere around the world.  CCME endorsed Canada-wide principles for electronics product stewardship in 2004 to assist and support jurisdictions in the development of e-waste programs.

In support of the Principles, CCME is providing lists of Recommended E-waste Products.  The first list includes those "common" products recommended for management under e-waste programs.  The second list is a compilation of other electrical products recommended for "consideration" under e-waste management programs in addition to the priority items to be addressed.
